The HP StorageWorks MSL2024 Tape Library is an excellent entry-level tape library that combines ample tape storage capacity with advanced features in a compact tape autoloader.

It can handle backup and recovery tasks typically managed by mid-range tape libraries and offers a compressed capacity of up to 38.4 TB (2:1 compression ratio).

Despite its impressive storage capabilities, the MSL2024 maintains a space-efficient 2U form factor, ensuring it doesn't occupy excessive rack space. Plus, it boasts a unique HP web-based management feature that reduces reliance on local IT resources, enabling centralised support for multiple sites.

This refurbished HP StorageWorks MSL2024 provides flexibility by allowing customers to choose between LTO Ultrium tape drives and various interface options, including SCSI, SAS, or Fibre Channel.

Each library comes with two removable 12-slot magazines and a user-configurable mail slot dedicated to importing/exporting data cartridges. To streamline media management, a barcode reader is included as standard equipment.
