In collaboration with Go Deploy, Intelligent Servers recently donated 17 Desktop PCs and a Tower Server to The National Museum of Computing in Milton Keynes. The PCs will be used by school children and other group trips during their visit to the museum whilst learning about the history of computers.
Intelligent Servers collaborate with Go Deploy to Donate IT Equipment
Go Deploy is a Microsoft official online labs hosting provider. As a long-term customer of Intelligent Servers, Go Deploy decided to reach out to us when the project at the museum came up. The museum required a new Server and 17 Workstations and Monitors for one of their classrooms.
After establishing what hardware was required, Intelligent Servers and Go Deploy decided to split the costs for 17x HP EliteOne 800 G2 All-In-One Personal Computers configured with Intel Core i5 6500 Processors, 8GB of Memory, 256GB SSD and Windows 10 Pro preinstalled, as well as keyboard and mice. We also donated a Dell PowerEdge T320 8LFF Tower Server configured with an Intel Xeon E5-2407 Processor, 8GB of Memory, Dell H310 6Gb Raid Controller, 2x 146GB Hard Drives and 2x 750W Power Supplies.
The National Museum of Computing
The National Museum of Computing (TNMOC) is an independent charity in Milton Keynes is home to the world's largest collection of working historic computers, including the rebuilt Colossus, the world’s first electronic computer and the WITCH, the world's oldest working digital computer. The museum enables visitors to follow the development of computing from the ultra-secret pioneering efforts of the 1940s through the large systems and mainframes of the 1950s, 60s and 70s, and the rise of personal computing in the 1980s and beyond.
The museum runs a highly successful Learning Programme for schools and colleges and promotes introductions to computer coding amongst young people, especially females, to inspire the next generation of computer scientists and engineers.
