Great RAID controller for the HP microserver gen8
The use of this raid controller for the microserver is well documented.  It gives a huge increase in driver performance especially for write performance.
At this price it was a great deal to add to the server.
The blogs (esp on homeserver site) explain how to add the controller and how to add drives.  It is done over several stages and it takes days to transform the existing driver to a larger logical and then a raid 5 drive.  (think 8 days of server down time) but this isnt the controllers fault, this is just how long it takes to restrucure data across 12TBs.
Wouldnt hesitate to buy again.
Intellegent servers were fantastic, super fast shipping and delivery, and even contacted me because of a note I added on the order for a half hight bracket... which they supplied for me.
