This refurbished PowerEdge M640 Blade Server is a part of Dells latest server range - Generation 14.
This blade server is designed to be used in either M1000e or VRTX blade enclosures. If you require a chassis to go with your Dell blade server please get in contact with us direct and we work out the solution that is ideal for your requirements.
This refurbished blade server can only support 1 or 2 of the 1st generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors, which offer up to 28 cores each. If you require 2nd generation please click here.
You are able to choose from the Bronze, Silver, Gold & Platinum processors. You can have a maximum of 16 registered (RDIMM) or load-reduced (LRDIMM) DDR4 memory modules depending on if you have a single or dual processor configuration. Each processor supports 8 memory slots.
There are 2x 2.5” hard drive slots which sit at the front of the system. You can choose from a few different drive types to populate these SFF bays, choose from 2.5” hard drives, SSD’s or even high performance NVMe drives. This system can only have 2 PCIe 3.0 which sit at the back of the system.
