The HPE Alletra 6090 is the flagship of the 6000 series - and uniquely, it's a scale-out platform. A single 6090 runs 896GB of controller memory per controller and supports SCM cache, with maximum raw capacity of 1,104TB in standalone configuration. The real headline is the 4-node scale-out option: four 6090 arrays, each with two All Flash expansion shelves, delivers a maximum usable capacity of 3,260TB under a single management plane. The same connectivity options apply as the 6070 - up to 48 iSCSI, 8 100GbE, or 24 32Gb FC ports per array - and like all 6000-series arrays it ships with Triple+ Parity RAID and guaranteed 6x9s availability as standard. HPE InfoSight's predictive analytics monitors storage and VM health continuously, flagging problems before they reach you. As with the 6070, the 6090 requires 1600W or 2200W PSUs at 200–240V. If you're running at scale and can't justify new 6090 pricing, a refurbished unit delivers the same architecture and the same guarantees - at a fraction of the cost.
