Powered by the HPE 3PAR Gen5 Thin Express ASIC, the refurbished HPE 3PAR StoreServ 8400 SAN Storage Array delivers hardware-accelerated thin provisioning and inline deduplication to reduce storage footprint and operational costs while maintaining predictable, low-latency performance for demanding mixed workloads.

The 8400 supports block and file workloads in all-flash or hybrid configurations and includes enterprise data services such as QoS controls, seamless data mobility, and efficient data protection via HPE StoreOnce integration. It’s commonly chosen when organisations need more scalability and performance headroom than the 8200 while still retaining a clear upgrade path within the 3PAR range.
