This is a monster HP Server Storage configuration consisting of 1x HP DL380p Gen8 Rack Mount Server with 2x Intel E5-2670 8-Core CPU's and 128GB DDR3 EEC Memory and a massive 15TB 6G storage directly attached. The D2700 storage array connects to the DL380p Gen8 server via a HP P822/2GB Flash Backed Cache Array Controller

You have a 331FLR with 4x HP 1GbE ports which are iSCSI capable.

There is also 1x HP ILO-4 Integrated Lights Out Port for Remote Management integrated into the system board with a dedicated port at the back of the server

This server can take 25x Hot Plug, Small Form Factor Hard Drives. The P822 RAID Controller can be configured in RAID 0, 1, 1+0, 5, 6, 50, 60, and 1 ADM

The HP D2700 Dual Controller Storage Array can be hooked up to any HP External SAS Controllers like the HP P822 that comes with this configuration. It allows you to configure drives in both the external storage array and the 25 drives in the server in one large RAID configuration.

This solution would be perfect for a high I/O intensive virtualisation project using VMware vSphere or Citrix XenServer....
