This is a HP Server / Storage configuration consists of 1x HP DL360 G7 1U Rack Mount Server with 2x Intel E5640 CPU's and 32GB DDR3 EEC Memory and 3TB of HP Storage connected to the DL360 G7 server via a HP MSA50 Storage Array and HP P600 Array Controller

There are 2x HP 1GbE NC382i Dual Port Network Adaptors giving you a total of 4x 1GbE Ethernet Ports which are iSCSI capable.

There is also 1x HP ILO-3 Integrated Lights Out Port for Remote Management integrated into the system board with a dedicated port at the back of the server

This server can take 4x Hot Plug, Small Form Factor Hard Drives. The P410i RAID Controller can be configured in RAID 0, RAID 1 and RAID 5

The HP StorageWorks Small Form Factor 2.5" 10 Bay SAS/SATA/SSD Storage Array can be hooked up to any HP External SAS Controllers like the HP P600 that comes with this configuration. The HP P600 Controller can support RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5 configurations and you can mix SAS, SATA and SSD drives together in the same Storage Array plugged into the P600 controller.

This solution would be perfect for a high I/O intensive virtualisation project using VMware vSphere or Citrix XenServer....
