This refurbished Dell PowerEdge R740XD is a part of Dells latest server range, Generation 14.
This server takes advantage of the 1nd generation of Intel’s new Xeon scalable processors. You can choose between the following options: Bronze, Silver, Gold & Platinum. These processors offer the highest core count at the moment. Taking advantage of all of 24 DDR4 registered (RDIMM) or load-reduced (LRDIMM) memory modules you can have a massive 3TB of memory. If you would like to have 3TB of memory in this server, you’ll have to include either Gold or Platinum M-designated processors in your server build. In a dual-processor configuration, the Dell EMC R740xd server supports up to eight PCIe expansion cards across three risers.
There are a few different options for storage with the R740XD. This server is very flexible and can house a mixture of SSD’s, HDD’s and even NVMe drives.
